Why is this important?
Andela connects top tech talent with long-term freelance roles, but its internal tool for recruiters—the Matcher Workbench—was cluttered, slow, and inefficient. This created friction in the vetting process, delaying placements and impacting match quality.
We set out to redesign the experience to help recruiters work faster, make better decisions, and ultimately increase successful matches.
What was the impact?
Reduced time-to-approve by 35% through streamlined workflows and simplified UI
Improved match success rate by 22% by surfacing better vetting signals earlier in the process
Cut client rejections by introducing structured talent assessments and clearer visibility into candidate fit
Laid the foundation for AI-powered recommendations and automated outreach
